Sixth Class Sale of Work
On the 18th October, Ms Melvin’s and Ms Cheasty’s 6th class hosted a bake sale in the school hall. We gathered toys, books, DVDs, sweets and cakes for this event. I’m proud to say that in total we raised €3,385. We split this money across three charities. We donated €2,000 to the Iona Arch Club, €1,000 to Debra Ireland and €385 to Autism Assistant Dogs Ireland. We put in a lot of work and we hope that the money we raised helps a lot of people.
We collected a total of 190 shoeboxes at the beginning of November for children in orphanages and refugee camps. These are now all on the way. Thank you again for your generosity
We will have our annual carol-singing around the roads of the parish on Wednesday 11th December between 7 p.m. and 8p.m. The children and teachers will provide the singing but we need adults to knock on the doors to collect. We would be delighted if parents could join us. We generally divide the money raised between the local Conference of St. Vincent de Paul and the Dublin branch of the Simon Community. Any pupil who comes out to sing will get a homework pass for the night.
