Work to be Completed During School Closure

30th March-3rd April

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all well and keeping safe during this time.

The work for this week (beginning March 30th) is outlined below.

Literacy

  • Continue reading from your own collection at home. Did you learn some new words? Make flashcards for these. Draw your favourite part of the story. Act out your favourite scene! Who is your favourite character and why?

  • In the meantime, you might like to create an account on this website: https://www.teachyourmonstertoread.com/

  • Continue with the word lists that are in your book bags - make flash cards for new words.

Maths

  • Maths Book pages 30 - 33 inclusive.

As I am aware many of your parents are working from home and on the front line, the following activities are a list of optional extras or Early Finisher activities that you can continue with at your own pace and in your own time.

  • Writing: Make a card or write a letter to someone who is sick or somebody who might be lonely at this time

Finally, enjoy your Easter holidays!

I would like to wish Dearbhaile and Ana a very Happy Birthday in advance!

I hope I will see you all soon!

Stay safe,

Ms McHugh

Useful Information

  • P.E. days are Tuesdays and Fridays. The children should wear their tracksuits on these days.

  • Irish dancing takes place every Thursday. The children should leave their dancing shoes (plimsolls) in school if possible, to ensure they are not forgotten. Please label shoes clearly.
